ASHJC's Host Barns

Here is a list of current Host Barns and the location of information pertianing to becoming a host barn

* This page has been updated for the 2002 ASHJC Show Season *

Host Barns are so much more than just barns that host shows for the ASHJC; they are what makes the Club work and what keeps it alive. They also add in some fun competition between those willing to host ASHJC shows. At the end of the show year, there will be voting on the "favorite" host barn, much like that of HOTY. Another thing, the amount of GCh and RCh won by each host barn will be kept track of and a Trainer of the Year Award will be given (RCh will serve as tie breakers between numbers of GCh) at the completion of the ASHJC show season.

1. Owner/Manager of said farm must have attended and shown in at least one ASHJC show and have followed all rules to the letter.

2. Owner/Mananger of said farm must be capable of running shows quickly and efficiently. This means in two weeks or less. The only exception is if Owner/Manager has asked a head of time and been given more time to run the show in question. Any show NOT finished in time will not count in the point standings.

3. All show facilities and equipment (rings, temporary stabling, jumps, etc.) must be in good condition and be checked regularly for damage! (We have expensive show horses, and who wants their prize horse injured on faulty equipment at a show)?

Any farm that wishes to become an ASHJC host barn must ask Kirabean by either AIM or e-mail get permission to have an ASHJC show. If approved, the Owner/Manager may run the show. After the show is succesfully completed and a the URL for results page or txt file with results is sent to the webmaster the barn will be awarded ASHJC Host Barn Status. Once a barn reaches Host Barn status all GCh and RCh they have won thus far in the ASHJC show season will count in the Trainer of the Year competition and the barn will also be part of the FBOTY voting!
